In my last two post i wrote about me waiting in school and getting into a program. Well one of Queenie's most recent post (that included vibrating condoms??? o.O) reminded me of the agreement contracts i had to sign at school. Especially this ridiculous one........ or wtv you call it......

These were the topics ---

~ dress code ( like no halter, see thru clothes, extreme baggy clothes...........)

~ being a "good" student (on time for school, respect teachers, school mates, blablabla)

~ no bringing guns/weapons to school

~ attending school (if sick must have note..... dadadeedada)

~ no sexual, verbal or any harassment, no bullying, no racism......

~ there's more i can't remember.....

yup........ in the contract, it was said that---

You know WHY???
It was a HIV prevention program =.=" and was to avoid teen pregnancy as well.


Course, i don't need or want any..... so my mom signed,
"i do not want my son/daughter to receive any condoms....blablablabla....."

So yessssssssssssss!!!! hahaha
I got it!! I got into the College Prep Prog!! It felt too easy.
I hardly did anything but talk, it was kinda like an interview.

So i went to the school, get to the counsellor's office and then we started talking. I'd say she was impressed and a little surprised ^.^ I think it was because i come from a country unknown to them and i speak good english~

The annoying thing was that i brought 2 HUGE HEAVY bags of BOOKS to show the counsellor. (They want report cards, i dont have any, cuz i homeschool)
So i thought i'd bring the material that i used to show them. But she didn't look at it at all. She just said 'she'd just take my word for it~'

+ Plus mayb cuz i'm asian too. Well this is a fact, schools with lots af asians (especially Chinese) do very well. Sometimes too well. (asking me what too well is....... well..... i'd probably be dead meat)

So we talk talk talk, more talking and Chitty Chatter. Finally after sometime, i got to choose my classes. Honors English, Honor Math- Goemetry, Honor Science- Chemistry, AP European History, Foreign language... Mandarin .....Regular PE.... n yea......^_^



hahaha im soooo excited!!!
So i'm a High School Freshmen, 9th Grader, Form 2. yup yup yup.

Ha! So i'm back in the States and i have to go back to school~ YAY!!! ^.^

Yesterday, my mom and I went to school to sign up. So we get to the school and we had to fill in a bunch of applications and forms. =.=" as if we haven't filled in enough.... So that took some time but not long, then we had to take a "number" and wait. It took such a loooonnnngggg time. So wait & wait & wait. FINALLY its our turn and we finally DO something.

First was this Data Entry of all my info

Next was taking a picture for the Student ID

Then we had to go the Dean's office.

(Dean is the head of the teacher staff, NOT principle)

at the Dean's office there was someone before me and the way the Dean talked to them sounded so firm, loud and a little scary.

He was like:

"'So why do you want to attend this school???' 'Which school were you from???' 'Are you sure you can do well in this school???' 'You're not a trouble maker are you???'"

But i guess when it got to my turn it wasn't so bad~

hahaha

It started out the same way firm, loud and yes i was a little scared but everything went awesome!!

You could say he was impressed!!

He said i spoke without an accent just like an American and my english was fluent, even though i was from Malaysia. >.<

yay!! =P

Then i had to go the counsellers to plan my school schdule.

There was this college prepatory program that i wanted to take but it was full.

That's why i'm going back today to talk to the counseller. Hopefully i get into THAT program.

yup. yup.

Missing Msia

So i'm thinking of Msia,
thinking of how much i miss Msia...........


I miss home.
The US is familar, but not home. Yea, so i've been back to the States every few years. Still, i dont feel that love for this country like i do for Msia.


I miss my friends,
I made a few but they can't compare with the friendships i have in Msia.
Christine, Sher Ee!!! I miss you two!!! When will you two come visit me?? I miss the both of you terribly! Yes Queenie i miss you too~~ I miss our art classes...... I wonder how diff it is without me.... hmmm.....

The only rain here are my tears. Its so dry here in the States. Humidity is actually SO much better (even of it means sweating). Here we have to apply lotion and do a whole bunch of stuff to make sure our skin doesn't dry and start itching.

the car broke down........ AGAIN.......=.="

YES! The car broke down AGAIN!

This month, our "new 21yr old car" (its a second-hand car that has been sitting in the previous owner's garage for about a year!) has been to the mechanic's about 4-5 times!!And now, there it is. AGAIN.

So today, >>>> my mom and I went to the bank to run some errands. We were in the bank for about 30mins. Since we sent it to the mechanic's YESTERDAY, we thought that it wouldn't have any problems today.

Unfortunately, we were wrong..... wrong..... wrong..... wrong.....

When we were done with the banking, we went back to the car and guess what???? BINGO! The car wouldn't start. Luckily, we were only one block away from the mechanic's. So we walk there, and talk to this old man (I think he's the owner of the mechanic shop) and he told us to try letting our car cool down and in about 15-30mins try starting the engine again.

So we did.............

While we waited for this car that loved to break down O' so often cool down, we went to the CVS drug store. That took about 30mins. We got back to the car and it STILL wouldn't start. Then we walk back to the mechenic's and talked to the old man again. This time he told us to try other things to start our car. Do this, Do that, bla bla bla. (He spoke in Cantonese)

What do we do???..... Walk back to the car and try all those stuff......course it STILL didn't start..... Then we walk back to the mechanic's once more.

(NOTE- It was a REALLY HOT day. It's summer here in the States)

This time the old man sent one of his workers to take a look at our car. He was this like short man (about my height) and wore this weird woollen mug hat and dirty baggy blue clothes. Anyways, he drove us to our car and takes a look. After 5mins or so, He sticks this long metal bar that looked like a crowbar and sticks it in to the engine.Then takes this hammer and hits the bar as my mom started the engine.

FINALLY the engine started!!!

We drove it to the mechanic's to let them take a look at it, and said that our car's starter was old. (duh! what does he expect. The car is 21yrs old!!) So we sit in the mechanic shop for about 1hr and waited for one of the workers' to give us a ride home.

(It was soooooooo boring. I should've taken my ipod with me.)

When the clock reached 6 o'clock, the shop closed and we FINALLY got a ride home.

I know, i know, there's nothing special about this day but still.... the car was sent to the mechanic's more than 4 times this month!!

ONE more MONTH!!

Finally!! FINALLY!!! its August. I've been waiting for August leh. It took forever, time moved like a turtle. (slower maybe)

I can't wait for September. I'll be going back to school by then.

It'll so cool to experience what American schools are like, after being in Chinese Gov. School for 4 yrs and being homeschool for 4yrs. >.<

So i'll be going to the 9th Grade in this school called 'Lincoln High' i live like less than 10mins from here. ( note: that is the only high- school i can attend, bcuz of where i live. Its some kinda American school system. haizzz)

HA!!! no uniform people!!! Course instead of the teacher coming to you classroom, you go to theirs. Then you'll have periods, selective, PE.... blabla bla like the the Form schools in Msia.

So i made some friends here, they tell me not to mess with the people there. Cuz they'll beat you up. (even girls) Worst still people have been shot at that school before. ( scarrryyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!) I was adviced to stay with the Asian. LOL

OKAY for the sake of avoiding my butt getting kick i will!!

But i bet school will be fun too~ I haven't been to school in so looooong. I bet this will do me some good. =P
